Third Hammond!

Now or never! I'm building a fully digital B3 clone! The gut will be a Ferrofish B4000 +.The wooden cabinet will be a challenge. But just imagine! A B3 within my budget!

Bad news!

I've tried my Hammond J142 solid state organ. There is something wrong with it. When you play a chord on the lower manual it also plays the chord for every ton you play at the upper. It is impossible to play! I continue the investigation, but it is not easy to locate the error among all the ICs and transistors.

Now I probably will abandon the great treasure and invest in another organ project. A modern digital hammond clone. As a role model is this guy:

Jag har provat min Hammond J142 solid state-orgel. Det är något fel på den. När man spelar ett ackord på den lägre manualen så spelas det ackordet även för varje ton man spelar på den övre. Det går alltså inte att spela! Jag fortsätter undersökningen, men det är inte lätt att lokalisera   felet bland alla IC-kretsar och transistorer. 

Det lutar nu mycket åt att överge den fina klenoden och satsa på ett annat orgelprojekt. En modern digital hammondkopia. Som förebild är den här killen:

Finally! The organ is sawn off and divided into small parts! Now it remains a technical examination of how it is constructed, in order to improve the function. For example, I'll try to make some presets for the lower manual. Original sounds are incomprehensible bad! Unfortunately there are drawbars only for the upper manual, but I am sure I can fix it! Moreover, of course there will be be a all new cabinets for each candy!

Äntligen! Orgeln är avsågad och uppdelad i smådelar! Nu återstår en teknisk undersökning av hur den är konstruerad, för att förbättra funktionen. Till exempel ska jag försöka göra några presets för den undre manualen. Originalljuden är obegripligt dåliga! Tyvärr finns drawbars bara för den övre manualen, men det går säkert att ordna på något sätt! Dessutom ska det ju förstås bli en helt ny låda för varje gobit!
